Early September, the Tor-Oud project was officially presented in Torhout. During the redevelopment of the market square, an enormous number of archaeological artefacts were uncovered — enough to fill an entire museum. That museum found its home in Ravenhof Castle.
Amazings was asked to create the symbol of the exhibition: a small knight on horseback, rebuilt with LEGO bricks, and to turn it into an exclusive little set for visitors.
But we did not stop there. We also recreated the entire Torhout market square as it looks today — in microscale, with LEGO bricks.
Side remark... I had never seen the Torhout market square with my own eyes. We worked entirely from photos and plans. And then, at the launch, there I suddenly was — in real life, full-size. Almost as if you had built a film set and then got to play the leading role yourself.
A special project, in a special city.
